I Love Tonfano #1

Quest’anno abbiamo deciso: niente vacanze! Non partiamo! Dapprima la decisione mi ha un pò abbattuto ma poi ho pensato… in fondo Lucca è a soli 20 Km dalla Versilia!!!

Quante persone scelgono di passare le proprie vacanze estive sulle nostre coste ed io ho la fortuna sfacciate di poterle raggiungere in pochi minuti. Mi sono detta: “quest’estate mi vivrò la stupenda Tonfano da vera turista”.

Mi sono dedicata alla scoperta di negozietti tipici, ho trovato dove comprare ottime focaccine mignon oppure sfogline calde alla crema appena sfornate. Ho scovato dove fare il miglior aperitivo vintage e dove gustare un ottimo fish and chips. Per non parlare di quel “luogo meraviglioso” che è il mercato del sabato a Tonfano, quasi una boutique all’aperto dove è possibile fare acquisti a buon prezzo… e decisamente chic!

Vi parlerò di tutto ciò nei prossimi posts. Per adesso inserisco qualche scatto fatto domenica da Giorgio sul romantico pontile di Tonfano alle ore 13:00 prima di recarci in spiaggia. Inondati di luce sole e mare è impossibile non ricaricarsi.

This year we decided :no holydays, no trips. At first I was a little depressed, than I thought:after all Lucca is just 20 kms from Versilia!!!

So many people choose to spend their Summer holydays along our coasts and I have the luck to reach them in a few minutes!

So I said to my self: I’m going to live this Summer in this beautiful Tonfano as a real tourist.

So I devoted myself entirely to finding typical little shops, I found where you can have delicious small focacce(a kind of flat bread) or hot cream sfogline( a kind of puffs).I discovered where you can have a vintage aperitif or enjoyng the best fish and chips!

Last but non least the wonderful Saturday market of Tonfano,a real open air boutique where you can buy many things at good price and certainly chic!

I’m going to tell you all about in my next posts. Now I’m leaving you some shots taken by Giorgio last Sunday along the romantic wharf of Tonfano at 1 p.m. before going to the beach. Flooded by light,sun, sea, you certainly buck up yourself!
